Cozonac braided with shit

From yeast, a spoonful of sugar, a handful of flour and a cup of milk is made into a mayo.

Meanwhile, sift the rest of the flour in a large bowl and make a hole in the middle, in which you will add the mayonnaise. Add in turn the yolks over which you sprinkle a pinch of salt (that's how my grandmother taught me ... the yolk stays yellow!) And finally, the whole egg. Knead further, gradually adding the milk, sugar, vanilla, oil and grated lemon peel, until you get an elastic dough (about 20 minutes). Cover with a white cotton towel and leave to rise for about 30 minutes on low heat;

Meanwhile, beat the remaining 4 egg whites together with the sugar and add the walnuts.

After leavening the dough, turn it over on the table and divide it into four, handling it as little as possible. Spread the dough with the rolling pin greased with a little oil, in a thin sheet (with one finger). Spread a quarter of the shit, then run carefully. Do the same with the other 1/4.

Glue the 2 rolls to one end and twist them carefully. Place the "twist" thus formed in the tray greased with a little oil. Do the same with the rest of the ingredients. Cover the trays with the towel and leave it to rise for about 15 minutes.

At this point, turn on the fire in the oven to be warm enough when you put the cake in the oven. Grease the cake with yolk. Bake for about 60 minutes. Take it out of the pan immediately and cover it with a towel. Let it "go to the mill" for 10 minutes, then you can cut it and enjoy!
