Form the cheese balls with wet hands and place them in the shape of a cake lined with baking paper.

Cake with cheese, cream and walnuts

A very interesting cake as a composition because it is actually a cheesecake + walnut top + cream. It is a holiday cake because it requires more ingredients but it is easy to make and I am convinced that you will find it delicious.

  • 600g cow's cheese
  • 250g sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 tablespoon starch
  • 125g butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 5 eggs
  • 100g ground walnuts
  • 100g old
  • 80g flour
  • 50g starch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 100ml oil
  • 500ml milk
  • 5 tablespoons flour
  • 2 sachets of vanilla sugar
  • 100g old powder
  • 250g butter or margarine

1. Prepare the cheesecake top: mix the butter well with the sugar (about 5 minutes), add the yolks one by one, always mixing the cheese and flour mixed with the starch and baking powder. At the end, add the beaten egg whites and mix lightly with a wooden spatula.

Bake in a 25x30cm shape lined with baking paper, 30 min at 180g C.

Let it cool well then turn over on a wooden bottom. Be careful the countertop must be cold or it will break.

2. For the walnut top, mix the egg whites and then add the sugar. Mix until dissolved and then gradually add the yolks and flour mixed with walnuts, starch and baking powder. At the end we add the oil.

Bake either a top that we cut in half (I baked it at 180g C for 10 min. For more safety, test with a toothpick), or two sheets, or a large sheet that we cut in two.

I was lucky that the stove tray was double in size with the cake tray and then I baked a single sheet and cut it in half.

3. For the cream, mix the milk with the flour, sugar and vanilla sugar. Put the mixture on low heat and stir constantly until it thickens like a pudding. Let it cool and gradually add the butter, stirring constantly. We get a fine cream.

Assemble the cake top, 1/2 of the cream, the cheesecake top (be careful how you handle it so it doesn't break), cream, walnut top.

Leave a little cream on top, spread it and sprinkle with walnuts. I preferred to leave the countertop like this.

Keep the cake cold for at least 3-4 hours then cut it with a knife passed through hot water.

It is delicious and you can also make it in the form of a cake (it comes out quite high about 3 fingers).

Rolled walnut and coconut cake & # 8211 Lamington

Rolled cake with walnuts and coconut, a simple and tasty childhood recipe, also called Lamington .. It is made with fluffy pandispan top, cocoa syrup and rum, all rolled well with roasted and ground walnuts or grated coconut. A delight!

Don't forget to add the secret ingredient: sprinkle with love and 2-3 smiles & # 128578

Carrot cake and icing & # 8211 carrot cake

Carrot cake and icing & # 8211 carrot cake. A simple, tender, fragrant and very tasty cake. Mascarpone icing or cream cheese is fine and vanilla. Carrots only have the role of keeping the dough moist and tender, their taste can not be detected in the cake. The walnut kernel gives an extra flavor to this cake.

I did this carrot cake and carrot cake on the occasion of the charity event & # 8222Sweet exchanges with a taste of charity & # 8221 which took place in Arad on December 14th. It is already the 3rd edition in which I gladly participate :). Cakes are auctioned here and the money raised is donated to charity.

On the plates you can see other cakes made by Diana and me: chocolate cookies (crinkles), quick cake with rum and icing gingerbread.

I've made carrot cake in the past and I wasn't happy with that first recipe. Here that after searches and tests I was delighted with the version of carrot cake that I present to you today. The source is Sally & # 8217s Baking Addiction & # 8211's Super moist carrot cake blog. I easily adapted her recipe, adding grated orange peel, prolonging the baking time and modifying the icing (instead of cream cheese I used mascarpone).

It is the kind of American cake on a tray in which carrots can be replaced with large and well drained apples or with pumpkin pie.

In addition, even if the carrot cake contains baking powder (which I don't generally like), its unpleasant taste is perfectly blurred by vanilla, orange and the aromas of cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg and star anise ( mix for gingerbread). You can choose only one of them.

If you like carrot cakes, I recommend it too our muffin recipe (muffins) with carrot and coconut.

I used a 25 x 20 cm tray and I got a carrot cake about 5 cm high. It can also be made in a round shape of 24-26 cm.
