lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
cups Progresso™ chicken broth
cup Frank's™ RedHot™ sauce
packet dry ranch seasoning
cups grated cheddar
Place chicken, broth, hot sauce, and ranch seasoning in a 5-quart slow cooker set to high. Cover and cook for 3 hours and 15 minutes.
Shred chicken with a fork.
Add rigatoni to the slow cooker.
Cut the cream cheese into small pieces and place in slow cooker. Stir well, being sure that the pasta is in the liquid.
Cover and cook 15 minutes. Stir well and then cover and continue cooking for 15 more minutes.
Stir the pasta, top with cheese, cover, and continue cooking for 5 minutes or until pasta is tender.
Stir once more and use a slotted serving to transfer to a serving dish, leaving any remaining liquid in the bottom of the slow cooker to discard.
- There may be a bit of liquid in the bottom of the slow cooker after the dish is finished cooking. This is to ensure there is enough liquid to properly cook the pasta.
- Serve with extra hot sauce or a drizzle of ranch dressing.

More About This Recipe
- I don’t know who decided the slow cooker was just for winter meals. I mean, no. In the winter, we like the oven to heat up the house. In the summer? Not so much.I love using my slow cooker in the summer to keep the house nice and cool while still eating all manner of delicious things. Like this spicy, cheesy, creamy little number right here.Buffalo chicken is my jam, you guys. Especially when I can make it all easy and simple like this! This is a one-dish dinner that will leave you begging for seconds. You’re going to need some chicken, rigatoni, chicken broth, ranch seasoning, hot sauce, cream cheese and cheddar cheese. (I try to sneak cream cheese into all my Buffalo chicken dishes - it adds so much creamy coolness!)A quick note about spiciness: Even though this pasta has a half cup of hot sauce in the mix, it’s still fairly mild thanks to the cream cheese. If you like more spice, feel free to increase the hot sauce in this recipe or drizzle on extra before devouring! And a shot of ranch dressing never hurt things either. :)
