No-Fry Fried Ice Cream

If you love crispy fried ice cream but don’t love the greasy mess that accompanies it, this no-fry fried ice cream is for you. This quick, Mexican-inspired dessert is almost as much fun to make as it is to eat.MORE+LESS-

cups Wheaties cereal, crushed

tablespoons white sugar

tablespoons butter, melted

teaspoons ground cinnamon

gallon vanilla ice cream, softened

Whipped topping, chocolate syrup, caramel syrup and cinnamon

    Combine crushed cereal, sugar, butter, corn syrup and cinnamon in a small bowl. Set aside.

    Shape ice cream into 3-inch balls and roll in the cereal mixture, pressing lightly to ensure each ball is fully coated. Place ice cream balls in muffin tins and freeze until ready to serve.

    Serve with syrup, whipped topping and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.
