Dough: In a bowl put the cold butter, cut into cubes. Add the egg, yolk and vanilla with sweetener. Start and mix with your fingers, add salt and flour gradually. Knead until you get a homogeneous dough. Wrap it in cling film, refrigerate for 30-40 minutes.
Filling: In a bowl put the cream cheese with the sweetener and lime peel, mix well with a spatula. Refrigerate the cream for 30 minutes.
Wash the strawberries well, wipe them with some napkins. Remove the tails, cut them into thicker slices. Sprinkle with lime juice, add starch, sweetener and mix gently.
Remove the dough from the fridge, sprinkle the flour on the work table. Spread a rectangular sheet of dough, not too thin. Place it on baking paper. Put the cream cheese over it, level it, but leave the edge free, without the cream. Place the strawberries one by one over the cream. Fold the edges of the dough inwards, to come a little over the strawberries. Top with strawberry juice, but not all (it seemed a bit much to me).
Transfer the tart with baking paper to a tray (I used a 24/37 cm one). Beat the egg white with the foam, and grease only the dough with a brush.
Put the tart in the hot oven, at 180 degrees C, for 35 minutes, until the crust turns golden. When it is ready, take it out of the oven and let it cool. Decorate it with mint, portion it and serve!
It is far too delicious to stop for a bite!
Blog with salt and pepper
I want to present you a food from the finger food category, that is, only good to eat with your hands - on the green grass or at home - you decide. We will need few ingredients and very few culinary skills - these croissants are made without too much hassle.
So, let's see what ingredients we will need for 16-18 croissants.
puff pastry dough already spread round - 2 sheets
melted cheese (usually triangles) - 1 confection
feliat cooked ham - 150 gr
sesame seeds - 1 tbsp
milk - 1 tbsp
If we do not have the puff pastry already spread, then we spread it sheets with a thickness of 0.5 cm. Divide each sheet into 8-9 "triangles". Grease each triangle with melted cheese and arrange slices of prosciutto, then roll and shape into croissants.
Arrange the croissants on an oven tray, cover the sieve with baking paper, leaving enough space between them (the croissants will increase in volume during baking). Using a kitchen brush, grease the croissants with milk and press them with sesame seeds. Put the tray in the preheated oven (190 degrees C) for 15 minutes (watch the process carefully, as different ovens bake differently).
And finally a useful tip: do not overdo it with the amount of cheese, if I put too much during baking it will leak from the croissants.
